About Mittie

Mittie grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has a BFA from the Boston Museum School.
In her career as an illustrator, she has created over 60 greeting cards, and her cartoons are regularly seen in Funny Times. She is the author of three children’s picture books, “Terrible Teresa“, “The Crazy Crawler Crane” and “Baby Business“, all published by Penguin Putnam.
Promoting her books, Mittie found that she enjoys hands-on drawing with students in workshops and classes. She now teaches drawing and cartooning in local schools as well as performing as guest artist at schools, libraries and bookstores.
Mittie will be teaching cartooning and drawing this spring at MOCHA and Glenview School, while ramping up for the big SURTEX show in May!
